ROBERT SILVERBERG. Vivo por dentro.





Robert Silverberg, escritor norteamericano nacido en Brooklyn, Nueva York el 15 de enero de 1935. Lector voraz desde la infancia, comenzó a enviar cuentos a revistas de ciencia ficción durante sus años de adolescencia. Asistió a la Universidad de Columbia, recibiendo una licenciatura en literatura inglesa en 1956. Su primera novela publicada, un libro para niños llamado "Rebelión en Alpha C", apareció en 1955, y al año siguiente ganó su primer Hugo como "mejor nuevo escritor". Durante los siguientes cuatro años, por cuenta propia, escribió un millón de palabras al año, sobre todo para las revistas y en los "Dobles de Ace". En 1959 el mercado de la ciencia ficción se derrumbó, y Silverberg desvió a otros campos su capacidad de escribir copiosamente, desde la ficción histórica de profunda investigación a la literatura erótica.

excelente cronologia! me gusta la cantidad de data que das. un excelente acercamiento al ahora tan bastardeado terreno de la ciencia ficcion.
ahora vienen los consabidos pedidos: Farmer, los grandes autores de la edad de oro (que son tantos y tan olvidados), ciencia ficcion inglesa y rusa (que nos han dado grandes clasicos de la ciencia ficcion). y no olvidemos, por favor a los grandes autores del idioma del Cervantes (hablo de autores españoles y latinoamericanos)
